Information We Collect
We collect minimal information to operate the game:
- Player Name: A 3-letter name you choose (not linked to your identity)
- Game Session: Temporary game data stored only while you play
How We Store Data
- Server: Game data is stored in memory only and deleted when the game ends or after 10 minutes of inactivity
- Your Browser: We use localStorage to remember your current game session (cleared when the game ends) and your cookie consent choice (Accept or Reject)
Rate Limiting
To prevent abuse, we apply rate limits to game creation and game actions. For this we use your IP address only to compute a one-way hash (HMAC). The actual IP is never stored or logged; only the hashed value is kept temporarily in memory and is discarded after a short time. Rate limits apply per client to keep the service fair for everyone.
Cookie Consent
When you first visit our site, we show a cookie consent banner. We use Google Consent Mode so that analytics cookies are not set until you choose to accept them. You can:
- Accept: Enable analytics cookies so we can understand how visitors use our site
- Reject: No analytics cookies are set; the site works fully without them
Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) and remembered on future visits. You can change your choice by clearing site data or using a private/incognito window to see the banner again.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (e.g. page views, approximate location, device and browser type). Analytics runs in a limited, cookieless mode by default. Cookies are only set if you accept via our consent banner. Google Analytics data collection is described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can also opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or your browser's privacy settings.
What We Don't Collect
- No account registration or login
- No email addresses or personal information
- No storage or logging of your IP address (only a temporary hashed value for rate limiting)
- No payment information
Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit your game or session data to third parties. Analytics data is processed by Google as described above.
